Job Opportunity: Finance and Human Resource Coordinator

Position Overview

Aus4Skills: The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam in accessing and using high-level professional and technical knowledge, skills, and competencies to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people-to-people and institutional links, thereby strengthening the partnership between the two countries. Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

The Finance and HR Coordinator provides day-to-day financial and human resource administrative support to enable effective and efficient operations and delivery of program activity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Aus4Skills in meeting the overall finance and accounting obligations for the project.
  • Process day-to-day payments for all project expenditures.
  • Review and verify the correctness of payment requests, including supporting documents in line with internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely transactions, bank reconciliation, and liaise with the bank on related issues.
  • Prepare relevant financial reports and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with maintenance and replenishment of project funds requests.
  • Provide financial advice and respond to financial inquiries when needed.
  • Maintain the accounts filing system to ensure it is sufficient and orderly.
  • Support the Finance and Administration Manager with the recruitment and induction of newly appointed team members.
  • Maintain administrative systems in relation to program HR requirements.
  • Liaise with Vietnamese local social insurance officers on related issues.
  • Provide administrative assistance to ad hoc requests for support during peak activity periods.
  • Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required by the Finance and Administration Manager.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or professional experience in business, communications, marketing, public relations, human resources, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong oral and written communication skills in Vietnamese and English.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in project finance-accounting, preferably in the international development sector focused on human resource development.
  • Proven experience with coordinating the planning and delivery of a variety of events.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications and great attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of Vietnamese legislation on VAT, labor, social insurance, and personal income tax.
  • Understanding of Australian accounting standards is desirable.
  • Solid budget management experience and end-of-month reconciliations.
  • Experience with procurement systems or processes is highly desirable.
