Australian alumni in Vietnam are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at one of three Alumni Symposiums to be held in 2023.
The symposiums will showcase the professional and community achievements of Australian alumni in Vietnam and share their expertise with colleagues, friends and the wider community, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Australia-Vietnam diplomatic relations.
Symposium 1 – Saturday 22 April 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City
Theme: Harnessing resources
Symposium 2 – Saturday 17 June 2023 in Danang
Theme: Human and society
E.g. Public health; gender equality; disability inclusion; social enterprises; arts and culture; human rights; social inclusion; language; WASH social safeguards; disaster preparedness
Symposium 3 – Tentatively mid/late September 2023 in Hanoi
Theme: Responsible growth
All alumni in Vietnam are encouraged to consider participation in the symposiums.
Presentations and Abstracts
Presentations must meet the following criteria:
Presentations should be a maximum of 20 minutes, followed by 20 minutes for discussion. Presentations may be delivered in English or Vietnamese. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
Submit your abstracts for all three symposiums by midnight Tuesday 14 March 2023, Vietnam time.
Abstracts should be in English and a maximum of 350 words. Abstracts should be submitted here.
Outcomes will be advised by 29 March 2023. Travel and accommodation will be provided for presenters who reside outside the symposium city.
