Towards gender equality and contributing to Vietnam’s skill agenda, the fifth “Women in Leadership Journey” (WILJ5) has commenced with the first activities in Hanoi and Nha Trang.
This course aims to promote gender equality, women’s empowerment, and leadership, supporting Vietnam’s skill development. It is an Australia Awards Short Course implemented under the Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC).
The course is delivered by Curtin University (Australia) in collaboration with the Centre for Gender Studies and Women’s Leadership (GeLEAD) under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
This is a flagship course where the VAC draws together Vietnamese and Australian experts to support leadership in the Vietnamese public sector.
During this course, Vietnamese public sector women leaders will gain valuable insights on gender equality and leadership, contributing to increasing women’s representation in leadership positions and the decision-making at all levels.
The course was launched in Hanoi with several teambuilding activities.
Participants will be trained by prestigious and influential leaders, experts and scholars from Vietnam and Australia and meet inspirational figures.
Participants joined a conference with Khanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Association, one of the first activities of WILJ5.
The “Women in Leadership Journey” program has been implemented since 2017. With this fifth course, over 100 influential women will have joined the activity, not only benefitting themselves but also their organisations and the community.
